Clare is a native Brit, living in The US. She a proud mother proud of her three sons, and young granddaughter.
After many years in the science field, with MS starting to take over her life, Clare switched to becoming self-employed as a costume designer and seamstress.
Once confined to a power chair, and with the loss of function in one hand, she re-invented herself again. At present she creates custom artwork using re-cycled metal, and is a freelance writer.
Joining The MS Gym last June has opened up new, exciting and totally unexpected possibilities.
After twelve years in a power chair, she is now learning to walk again.
As a nature lover, she intends to one day feel the freedom of walking in the woods, to resume sewing with two hands, and to travel to Europe to see her family.
Clare wants to encourage and ‘pay it forward’ to the MS community.
